My Little Story
Where shall we begin? Well, my passion for making home cooked meals started many, many, many, many...(okay I think that's enough many) moons ago. Making homemade meals for my family became one of my main priorities and I quickly fell in love with it. It became a passion of mine, working in the kitchen creating delicious meals for my family. Using whatever ingredients, I had and trying new things to eventually making my own recipes. Recipes that I felt were simple, easy to follow, easy to adapt to and most importantly delicious.
People kept asking me for my recipes and that was the start to making YouTube recipe videos. My first recipe video was my dinner rolls, which was the main recipe many people kept asking me for.
My passion for caring for my family continued to grow and blossom into homeschooling and being a full-time mom. Making the meals, schooling the littles, tending the home it became my calling. I finally felt this is where I belonged.
When our hearts gathered together at the dinner table, either for schooling or for a meal it's where we gathered with one heart with the same purpose. Homeschooling was a choice we made long before it became popular, and through the many years of homeschooling, there has been so many ups and downs, trials to overcome and still overcoming and my hopes is to share some of those along the way to help you and inspire you on your motherhood journey. It all starts at home!

All things home became the center for me. The heart of the home became the kitchen where I spent most of my time creating delicious recipes for my family. The family breakfast table became a homeschooling table. Filled with books and lessons learned, we also share our journey along homeschooling. Homeschooling has been a huge part of our lives, so I try to share along the way things that has helped, worked for us, reviews and all the things.
I am so grateful and blessed to be on this adventure.
I remember the aroma that filled the house when bread was baking, and the more I worked with dough, the more I loved it. I want to recreate those moments for my children. Kneading and working with dough quickly became one of my favorite things to work with. It's like Play-Doh but for adults, I mean what's not to love. Stress-relieving, enjoyable, and the end product is a delicious part of your meal.
That turned into my first original recipe I created, my Sweet Dinner Rolls, which generated over 500k views on YouTube. With that love of kneading and breadmaking, I have come up with many bread and rolls recipes to enjoy!
The more I started cooking, and trying new recipes, I found a common trend. Many recipes I tried were not as amazing as I thought they would be, they were lacking in areas mostly flavor. That's when I started making my own versions of things, I added more flavor profiles, fresh herbs, ground spices, richer ingredients such as cream or milk powder, and eventually came up with my own recipes. As I experimented more in the kitchen, I started learning more about ingredients and the way some things reacted with others which gave me a better understanding on making recipes the way I wanted it; a fluffier or airier cake, thicker pancakes and just all around more flavor.
After working with dough for so many years, I decided to dawdle with sourdough. Of course I had to make my own starter from scratch, even though it was totally possible to purchase already established starters. My thought was I can create this starter with my own hands, using the bacteria in our own home and environment and pass it down to my children if time persists and The Lord wills. After making my own starter, I then started using it in recipes, cupcakes, muffins, brownies, and especially pancakes! The sourdough discard is an amazing addition to pancakes, and it's such a perfect to use up any sourdough discard you have sitting in your fridge! I started making my own recipes with those ingredients and have thoroughly enjoyed my sourdough journey!

I hope you find joy, inspiration through our page here and on our YouTube channel. It has been a blessing to me as I continue to grow in myself as a mother and a homemaker. Where our hearts at home can gather together to be blessed and thrive!
